GPS-Navigation ist einfach! Nicht immer!
Grundlagen und Details der GPS-Navigation.

Die Technik schreitet voran, alles wird einfacher. Denkt man!

Keep on hiking!

Viel Spaß und Erfolg mit unseren GPS-Kursen!

GPS navigation is easy! Not always!
Basics and details of GPS navigation.

Technology advances, everything becomes easier. One thinks! But often enough in practice one is surprised that the technology either does not work or is not as easy to use or reacts differently than one thought. Even the navigation in the car still offers surprises from time to time, for example when the shortest route leads through a residential area that is flooded with narrow one-way streets. Of course you can also drive at 50 km / h, after all, they're allowed. However, what can be implemented in practice is sometimes different.

Off-road it doesn't get any easier and, one must never forget, one is often so far removed from civilization that mistakes would be fatal. On the one hand, this means that you have to understand how the technology works, which pitfalls lie hidden in theory, but which occur in practice and, at best, force a smile on your face. A little way back or detour is not the world. However, when you are 30 miles under your belt, it can be very and at least annoying.

The battery has run out! And if you don't have a replacement with you, you may still be able to remember the way there. That the way back sometimes seems very strange from a different perspective should only be mentioned in passing. However, a hiking map and a compass will help in the worst-case scenario and I wish everyone not need both.

Our GPS courses explain a bit the theory and especially the practice and should help you get to your destination and back safely. It is not a substitute for training, as you should really practice using your handheld GPS device. You have to know when exactly you have to stick to the GPS route and you have to recognize when you can "ignore a waypoint". So, please read and practice, practice, practice - questions about contact are always allowed. Keep on hiking!

Have fun and I wish you success with our GPS tutorials!
